At the Digital Humanities 2006 conference in Paris (5-9 July) it was
announced that the recipient of the Roberto Busa award 2007 is Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Ott
of the University of Tübingen. He will give his Busa Lecture at the Digital
Humanities 2007 conference, to be hosted at the University of Illinois,
Urbana-Champaign, 2-8 June 2007.

Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) in cooperation with the University’s Graduate
School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS).

As part of its commitment to promote the development and application of
appropriate computing in humanities scholarship, ALLC has awarded up to three
bursaries to students and young scholars who have had papers or posters accepted for
presentation at the 2006 Computers, Literature and Philology (CLiP) international
conference.

The Award Committee invites nominations for the next Busa Award.
Nominations may be made by anyone with an interest in humanities computing and
neither nominee nor nominator need be a member of ACH or ALLC. Nominators should
give some account of the nominee's work and the reasons it is felt to be an
outstanding contribution to the field. A list of bibliographic references to the
nominees work is desirable. Nominators are welcome to resubmit updated versions of
unsuccessful nominations submitted in previous years. Nominations should be sent to
the Chair of the Award Committee, Lorna Hughes, at the address
lorna.hughes_at_kcl.ac.uk or AHRC ICT Methods Network, Centre for Computing in the
Humanities, King's College, London, London WC2R 3DX, UK, no later than June 1st,
2006.
The Digital Humanities 2006 conference will be hosted by the Université
